1stAngel: When did you first become interested in art?
Lee: I first became interested in art at a very early age. I have always love to create!

1stAngel: What style of art do you use most?
Lee: I combine realistic characteristics and entities with abstract forms. I love to capture the transparent emotion and feeling written on the face. The style chose me!

1stAngel: Has your style changed from when you first began as an artist?
Lee: My style has changed dramatically from pouring everything from the melting pot into a piece to a more is less philosophy, more symbolism, local color direction and form to convey warmer (feeling) and more diverse art.

1stAngel: What medium do you use?
Lee: I use many different traditional fine art mediums such as oil, acrylic, watercolor and digital mediums such as Photoshop. I have two favorite medium, Oil paint and pencil.

1stAngel: Do your ideas come from life or imagination?
Lee: My ideas come from a surreal juxtaposition of imagination and snapshots of life

1stAngel: How do you choose your images and colours?
Lee: Many of my images are stored in mental portfolio/old sketches sometimes from many years ago. The palette that I create from, usual has its origin in African/American tapestries and colorscapes. A great deal of my colors and forms derive from emotion and the ability and innate need to feel, comprehend and translate another persons (also my own) emotion onto the canvas.

1stAngel: Who is your favourite artist?
Lee: My favorite artist is John Biggers (1924 – 2001) , an African American painter, sculptor, teacher and philosopher.

1stAngel: What is your favourite piece of work by yourself?
Lee: My favorite piece of work is ‘The Comforter”

1stAngel: Have you had exhibits in galleries?
Lee: I have had works exhibited in the Virginia Museum of Art, local art galleries and college/university galleries

1stAngel: Have you any exhibits in galleries planned for the future?
Lee: I am planning an open house at my residence to introduce myself and my art to my new community, family and friend. Just a little meet and greet.

1stAngel: What are your plans for the future?
Lee: My plans for the future are to continue to grow as a husband and father and continue this journey of creative exploration.
